My team was looking for a simple and easy solution to use a knowledge base we could use for our external users as a self-service. In coordination with Slack, OneBar has empowered us and the external users to search for answers easily and be more self-sufficient at the same time. Onebar is a great way to maintain a really accessible database of the information that keeps our company ticking over. If someone has a question they can just pop it into slack and get an answer. And If the answer's not there, they can just ask a question and assign a knowledgeable team member to provide the answer. Then they'll never need to ask that question again.
OneBar has been instrumental in our overall knowledge gain as an organization by sharing information using the app versus having to search email for an answer from 3 years ago. The adoption from the team was quick and there was little training based on how intuitive the app is. This was a no-brainer for us to add to our workspace on Slack.
OneBar can only read messages in the channels to which it has been explicitly invited to.
At OneBar we deeply care about the security of our user’s data. We follow the OWASP best practices, encrypt data at-rest and in transit, take regular audits and don’t store anything that we don’t need for OneBar operation.
Currently OneBar is open to anyone with an open Slack account belonging to your Slack workspace, except restricted (guest) users.
Currently there’s no export functionality built into the app, but we would be happy to assist you with exporting all your data via a private API.
Active user is a user that has interacted with OneBar web app or OneBar Slack bot at least twice during the billing period (a month).

Currently, OneBar only works together with Slack and the only way to sign up is to use your Slack account. We may, however, work on a standalone version of it in the future.
